A view of the intersection of William IV Street and Agar Street showing bomb damage to the Strand. In the background the former Charing Cross Hospital is visible. Today, the bombed area depicted in the painting has been completely rebuilt. Branches of Superdrug, Lloyds TSB, Nat West, and several other businesses now occupy the site.
